A Girl and A Gun

A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League (AG & AG) is a shooting club established by women shooters for women shooters. AG & AG events are fun, social gatherings where you get firearms training and encouragement, ask questions in a safe and nonjudgmental environment, improve your marksmanship, and make new friends.

From hiking the country’s second-largest canyon, Palo Duro Canyon, to offshore fishing the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, we encourage all women to branch outside of their comfort zones and come explore the beautiful state of Texas with us!

Texas Women’s Outdoors hosts year-round opportunities from hunting and fishing excursions to hiking, camping, educational classes and workshops, gun range days, local meetups, conservation projects, and more.

Annie Oakley Shooters

We are a diverse group of women shooters–young and not-so-young, professional women and stay-at-home moms, peashooters and sharpshooters. We have no formal membership and no dues, but we collectively form a group known as the Annie Oakley Shooters.

The second Monday of every month; rain or shine, holiday or not, we shoot together on Annie Mondays. We always offer instruction for new shooters and those who request it, or one can shoot the course for practice. At noon we gather for lunch and announcements, and then back to Atlanta for carpooling or to the office. We make it easy, familiar, and comfortable to be a part of the Annies. The dream for a group of collegial women shooters has come true. Today, we average between 40-50 women in attendance on Annie Mondays. We continue to offer inspiration and advice for the formation of new women’s shooting programs.

G.R.I.T.S. Girls Really Into Shooting

The GRITS are an amazing group of women from all walks of life who have at least one thing in common- a passion for shooting sports.  Our membership is diverse.  We range from younger gals to ladies, mothers and grandmother’s, cool chicks and crack shots, complete novices and pretty much everyone in between. We are women who are all empowered by membership in a club that promotes the shotgun sports and yet is tightly bound by friendships, support and camaraderie. We could not ever aptly describe the shooting fun with these women, it must be experienced!    Each chapter hosts a safe and encouraging place for beginners to learn as well as a more challenging environment for experienced shooters.  If any of the above sounds intriguing, WE WANT YOU!  Other than the obvious, that is being a woman, smiles, good cheer and fun loving are the only requirements to join.   Ready, PULL.

TWAW Shooting Chapters is a non-profit organization that organizes local groups of women around the country that meet monthly to practice, learn and grow as shooters. Creating opportunities for women to be introduced to issues important to women shooters, learn safe gun handling skills and train together.

Women On Target from the Women of the NRA

If you’re curious about firearms, whether for personal defense or to learn a new sport, Women On Target® is the perfect place to start. These instructional shooting clinics are designed to teach you firearm safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship, giving you the confidence you need to safely handle and operate a firearm upon completion.

Women On Target® clinics are available only to women — it’s a safe and friendly environment whether you’re picking up a gun for the very first time or are just brushing off some dust and need a little refresher. You’ll immediately feel at ease in the half- or full-day clinics, and will be provided with a hands-on, one-of-a-kind experience. No experience or equipment is necessary to participate.
